A professional demeanor and a high level of patience are two essential qualifications. * Previous experience as a help desk technician or equivalent * Familiarity with Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android operating systems * Technical proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting software applications. * Ability to independently research and resolve technical issues. Preferred * Prior experience with Salesforce * Experience with Mobile Iron or other MDM software., * Do you have previous professional experience providing help desk, desktop support, or end-user technical support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues? * Do you have hands-on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computers and mobile devices using Windows, macOS, iOS, and/or Android? * Are you able and willing to travel throughout all five NYC boroughs to provide onsite technical support at multiple locations, potentially visiting up to 3 sites in one day? ## Description Our client, a major non-profit association teaching technology to older adults, seeks a Technical Support Specialist for a 6-month part time (30 hours a week) contract position in New York City. This position is responsible for providing technical support and setup for staff, programs, and a network of training centers throughout New York City. NOTE: Travel throughout all five NYC boroughs required. * Travel between assigned work locations as needed, with all travel time considered working hours. * Travel will be throughout all 5 boroughs. Could visit a max of 3 sites a day, 7 sites a week, but on average 3 site visits per week. * Manager would prefer ticket creation and other admin duties completed at the Manhattan office but could also be done remotely., * Maintain and support network of computer labs throughout NYC. This includes visiting partner locations to install new equipment, perform upgrades, and check for unreported issues. * Support mobile devices such as iPads and Chromebooks in addition to desktop PCs. * Support conferencing and A/V systems at offices. * Assist with pulling data exports from data systems including Salesforce CRM and Qualtrics (survey platform). * Track assets and work orders in Salesforce. * Assist with general staff tech inquiries as needed.
