As Digital Innovation Engineer, you will research and evaluate emerging technologies to support service improvement and operational decision-making. Working with the Digital Innovation Manager, you'll deliver proof-of-concept and pilot initiatives, applying technologies such as AI, APIs, and RPA to improve efficiency and capability. You'll act as a technical adviser on projects, providing specialist input to colleagues, suppliers, and partners while resolving technical issues collaboratively. You'll maintain up-to-date knowledge of digital technologies through horizon scanning to identify service improvement opportunities. You'll prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations, explaining complex concepts accessibly. Using agile and iterative approaches, you'll develop prototypes and solutions that can be reused or extended across the Council.
