Our primary focus is regional port container work, with runs up to approximately 550 miles one way. We also have local opportunities and short haul. Duties * Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across local and short-haul routes, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies * Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor-trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards * Execute route driving efficiently while maintaining timely deliveries within designated areas * Manage freight documentation accurately, including delivery logs, load manifests, and inspection reports * Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route progress, delivery status, and any issues encountered during shifts * Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical concerns promptly to keep trucks in optimal condition
