## About the Role

* Experience designing, building and operating production grade Kubernetes platforms within time-constrained programs (CI/CD)
 * Kubernetes cluster architecture
 * AWS experience supporting containerised workloads
 * Experience establishing separate development, testing and production environments with controlled configuration and release promotion
 * Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration automation using Terraform and Ansible
 * Linux administration
 * Experience documenting platform designs and transferring knowledge to an internal engineering team
 * Strong problem solver
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills

## Description

The client is a fast growing SaaS business. As a DevOps Engineer you will focus on using Kubernetes and AWS to accelerate and unblock the delivery of a K8s environments hosted in AWS. You will work with internal teams to design, build and stabilise secure, repeatable development, testing and production environments. The role is delivery-focused - resolve technical blockers, establish robust infrastructure and deployment patterns, transfer knowledge and leave clear documentation and operational ownership at the end of the engagement.

DevOps Engineer - Responsibilities

 * Assess the current Kubernetes platform, AWS architecture, delivery plans, and design 6 month delivery plan with clear priorities.
 * Design, build and configure secure, reliable, and scalable Kubernetes environments in AWS
 * Diagnose and resolve issues across clusters, containers, AWS services, storage, and deployment pipelines
 * Implement Infrastructure as Code and automation as well as security, scalability, and monitoring best practice
 * Produce concise architecture, configuration, and support documentation and provide practice knowledge to the team
