You will be involved in the design, implementation and testing of process, modelling and infrastructure improvements., * Qualified or partly-qualified actuary with a minimum of 3 years' experience in life insurance or life reinsurance * Experience of using Prophet, RiskAgility FM, Tyche or similar modelling platforms, including an understanding of the benefits and limitations of such platforms * Experience with Atlassian suite, including Zephyr, or other test management applications * Understanding of Life, CI, IP and Annuity/Longevity insurance products and the actuarial concepts underpinning the core model calculations * Demonstrable interest in long-term actuarial modelling / testing role * Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders in Actuarial and non-Actuarial teams * Ability to be forward-looking and anticipate future needs * Good analytical skills and a demonstrable ability to plan and prioritise workloads and deliver to deadlines * Coaching experience and ability to manage across multiple locations and time zones * Ability to challenge / enhance processes, in a culture of continuous improvement Competencies and Behaviours: * Ability to demonstrate test design and execution skills, showing attention to detail and logical thinking * Ability to work on own initiative and proactively manage a varied and demanding workload * Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain issues clearly, escalate appropriately and challenge constructively * Proven focus on quality, ensuring deliverables are accurate and fit for purpose * Proven ability to work with other functions, developing and maintaining working relationships * Ability to understand and apply new concepts quickly, showing initiative, flexibility, and resourcefulness * Adaptability to change and evolving environments * Pragmatic, able to balance accuracy with effort * Willingness to challenge the status quo ## Description We are looking for an experienced professional to join our growing Actuarial System Team and lead a new specialised testing sub team.
