## About the Role

Residency Requirement: Candidates must have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 of the past 5 years and be authorized to work in the U.S. (Citizen, Permanent Resident, or EAD).

 * 3+ years of direct experience with RedHat OpenShift containerization platform.
 * 5+ years of experience with AWS.
 * Proven experience with scripting (bash, PowerShell, Python, Java).
 * Experience with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), observability tools.
 * Understanding of event platforms such as Kafka.
 * Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality and accurate work.
 * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
 * Proven ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
 * Proven ability to work independently and as part of the team.

Preferred Qualifications:

 * Experience in federal government programs, or regulated environments (CMS experience is preferred).
 * Relevant certifications (AWS, OpenShift) are a plus.

## Description

Cogent People Inc. is seeking a Container Infrastructure Engineer to support a mission-critical large-scale system serving the Federal Government in the healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Containerization technologies (OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD, and scripting languages (Shell, Python, Java)., * Enhance the feature set of existing OpenShift platform across multiple environments.

 * Serve as OpenShift SME (Subject-Matter Expert).
 * Install, maintain, and operationalize OpenShift Operators.
 * Assist with DevSecOps automation.
 * Support development teams with containerization, infrastructure, and deployments.
