This role is suited to an experienced technical specialist who is comfortable working independently, building practical solutions, and supporting analytics delivery across operational and customer-focused use cases. The successful candidate will have strong experience with cloud analytics platforms, Python development, SQL, and large-scale data processing, with a proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of delivery. Key ResponsibilitiesData Engineering & Analytics - Build and maintain analytics datasets, pipelines, and reporting solutions. - Develop scalable ETL/ELT processes using cloud-native technologies. - Support analysis of large datasets to generate operational and business insight. - Work with structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources. - Develop automated reporting and monitoring solutions. GCP Platform Development - Work within the Google Cloud ecosystem, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, Cloud Functions, and Dataflow. - Support optimisation and maintenance of cloud-based analytics environments. - Contribute to scalable and efficient data architecture design. Cost & Performance Optimisation - Help optimise BigQuery queries and cloud platform costs. - Improve performance of data pipelines and analytics processes. - Support implementation of efficient data processing approaches for large datasets. Solution Delivery - Translate business requirements into practical analytics solutions. - Support rapid prototyping and development of analytics MVPs. - Work closely with stakeholders across operational and technical teams. - Produce clear documentation and maintain reusable code frameworks.
