## Description

BP Energy seeks an Energy Optimization Specialist to improve efficiency and support low carbon initiatives across our utilities and energy portfolio. You will analyze complex energy and operations data, identify optimization opportunities, and develop strategies to reduce cost, emissions, and risk. Working closely with engineering, trading, and commercial teams in a hybrid Houston based role, you will design and implement optimization projects, build clear reports and dashboards, and help deploy digital tools.  * Develop and model strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support low carbon and renewable initiatives
 * Collaborate with engineering, trading, and operations teams to implement optimization projects and monitor impact
 * Prepare reports, dashboards, and recommendations for leadership and commercial stakeholders
 * Support deployment of digital tools, analytics, and automation for real time energy performance monitoring
 * Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards in all optimization work
 * Contribute to continuous improvement, sharing best practices and lessons learned across global teams
 * Partner with customers to design tailored energy optimization solutions and present findings
 * Support forecasting, scenario analysis, and risk assessment for energy use and costs
 * Participate in training and knowledge sharing to stay current on energy markets, technologies, and regulations
