## About the Role

Our client are seeking a talented and experienced Design Engineer to join their dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, proficiency in industry-standard design software, and hands-on experience with metal fabrication, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge R&D projects and contribute to the development of innovative products., * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

 * 3-8 years of professional experience in mechanical design engineering
 * Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
 * Extensive experience in metal fabrication techniques and processes
 * Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems design and integration
 * Experience with electrical systems, including battery and mains power
 * Proven track record of successful R&D project contributions
 * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
 * Strong communication and teamwork abilities
 * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

## Description

* Develop and design mechanical components, systems, and products using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
 * Create detailed 2D and 3D models, drawings, and specifications for manufacturing and assembly
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards
 * Conduct engineering calculations and analysis to optimise designs for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
 * Participate in the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to production
 * Design and integrate hydraulic and electrical systems into mechanical assemblies
 * Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design reports, test procedures, and user manuals
 * Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during prototyping and production phases
 * Contribute to R&D projects by researching new technologies and materials
 * Ensure designs meet safety regulations and industry standards
 * Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure proper implementation of designs
 * Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to team members
