Equivalent experience will also be considered., * 10+ years of overall Information Technology experience. * 2- 5 years of experience developing and supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). * Strong experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk ProductionCentre (FTPC) or equivalent MES platforms. * Experience developing applications using Java, C#, .NET, Spring Framework, or similar enterprise technologies. * Experience designing and implementing REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, and enterprise integrations. * Experience in integrating MES systems with SAP and other enterprise applications. * Strong knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases. * Experience with manufacturing equipment integration, PLC communications, OPC technologies, and industrial automation systems. * Experience implementing software within validated and regulated environments. * Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, electronic batch records, traceability, genealogy, and serialization. * Experience troubleshooting complex production issues across applications, databases, infrastructure, and integrations. * Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure software development practices. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with source control systems, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated deployments. * Experience with SQL performance tuning, database design, and data integration solutions. * Understanding of the business processes related to Manufacturing and Supply Chain * Experience with Shop floor, equipment integration, Program logic control (PLC) programming. ## Description The Senior MES Developer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, integration, and support of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions that enable manufacturing operations, traceability, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation initiatives across Abbott manufacturing facilities.
