This role requires deep expertise in distributed systems and a commitment to AI-native engineering as our standard. You will rethink backend design, validation, and delivery through AI-augmented workflows, ensuring our platform provides secure, interoperable, and scalable access-enforcing the principle of least privilege for every aspect of the product. What You'll Be Doing * Lead and grow a team of ML experts and other engineers to deliver key Intelligence features for the OIG product - powered by machine learning, large language models, and agentic AI systems. * Establish rigor around AI evaluation: designing "evals" frameworks, measuring factuality, relevance, and task completion, and setting quality gates before production rollout * Own the end-to-end AI product lifecycle: from problem framing and data curation through model training, A/B testing, deployment, and continuous improvement based on production signals. * Manage the process to Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure across high-compliance security baselines. * Support operations transitioning into federal environments.
