In this role, you'll design and scale backend services that support critical business operations, including payments and other financial workflows. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver secure, reliable tools that reduce operational friction and give contractors greater control over their finances., * Architect, design, and evolve scalable, high-performance APIs and backend services for contractor financial tools * Build secure and reliable capabilities that support payments and other financial workflows * Integrate with internal and external systems while keeping services maintainable and extensible * Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Finance, Risk, and Operations to translate business needs into resilient technical solutions * Drive the full software development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation through testing, deployment, and post-launch support * Mentor and guide engineers across the team, setting high standards for system design, security, scalability, and code quality * Champion operational excellence through strong practices around observability, documentation, monitoring, alerting, and incident response, Job duties include additional responsibilities as assigned by one's supervisor or other managers related to the position/department.
