## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
 * 2+ years of experience in software QA, test automation, network QA, or a related engineering role.
 * Experience with a test automation framework such as Robot Framework, pytest, Selenium, Playwright, or an equivalent framework.
 * Strong understanding of computer networking fundamentals.
 * Working knowledge of VLANs, IP addressing, subnetting, Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, and routing.
 * Hands-on ability to build and troubleshoot a network test environment, including connecting switches and other equipment using fiber.
 * Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills., * Working knowledge of OLT, ONT, and PON technologies, or the ability to quickly develop that knowledge.
 * Experience with Robot Framework and Python.
 * Experience testing REST APIs and network-management interfaces.
 * Experience with NETCONF, gNMI, SNMP, or other network management protocols.
 * Experience with SONiC or Cumulus Linux.
 * Experience with data center leaf-spine architecture.
 * Experience with GNS3 or other network virtualization/simulation platforms.

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our network management software quality engineering team. This position combines automated test development with hands-on work in a network lab environment.

The ideal candidate has an established foundation in both software test automation and networking. The engineer will develop automated tests and analyze results while working directly with network equipment to build test environments, configure devices, connect fiber and other cabling, and troubleshoot failures.

The role provides exposure to advanced data center networking, access networking, network operating systems, network management protocols, and network automation., * Build and maintain network test environments, including installing and configuring switches, routers, and other network equipment. using fiber-optic and copper cabling; install and troubleshoot optical transceivers and high-speed interfaces.

 * Configure interfaces and network devices, build test topologies, and troubleshoot physical, Layer 2, Layer 3, and management connectivity issues.
 * Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests for network management software.
 * Test switch configuration and management operations across Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks. Desirable to have OLT/ONT and PON-related network experience.
 * Analyze automated test failures and determine whether failures are caused by the product, network configuration, test automation, or test environment.
 * Reproduce software defects in controlled network environments and analyze logs, device state, packet captures, and network-management information to isolate problems.
 * Work directly with developers and network engineers to diagnose and resolve issues.
