## About the Role

## Description

Renesas Electronics America, Inc. is looking for a Data Traceability Engineer to support the development and maintenance of data traceability solutions with artificial intelligence and analytics applications. This entry-level role works with Customer Quality, Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to help organize, connect, and validate data used to improve product quality, customer insights, and operational decision-making.

The successful candidate will apply foundational skills in data engineering, AI/ML concepts, and software development to support data lineage, metadata management, dataset quality, and end-to-end traceability. The role provides hands-on learning opportunities under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines that capture AI dataset lineage and processing history

 * Document data sources, transformations, ownership, versions, and usage across AI workflows
 * Support metadata catalogs, data dictionaries, and traceability dashboards
 * Perform data validation and investigate missing, inconsistent, or incorrectly linked records
 * Help develop scripts and tools that automate data lineage, audit trails, and traceability checks
 * Assist with monitoring dataset quality and resolving traceability issues with engineering teams
 * Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand data and reporting requirements
 * Follow data governance, security, privacy, and quality standards
