## About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in supporting the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate at Hanscom AFB. This is a full-time position., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

 * Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security, with a strong focus on network and system security.
 * Experience with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
 * Knowledge of industry standards and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
 * Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
 * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
 * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
 * Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

## Description

* Develop and implement security strategies to protect critical information systems and networks.
 * Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
 * Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
 * Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security controls.
 * Collaborate with system administrators and developers to ensure security best practices are integrated into all systems and applications.
 * Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders on security matters.
 * Stay current on emerging security threats, technologies, and industry best practices.
