Experience developing "engineered to order" equipment. * Outstanding ability to maintain and communicate priorities in a rapidly changing work environment. * A strong ability to communicate highly technical concepts to novice, non-technical, or interdisciplinary audiences. Preferred Experience (Not Required) * Experience with SCADA, HMI, or industrial automation frameworks. * Familiarity with safety-critical software development and standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 13849). * Familiarity with Machine Control Systems (CANBus, ModBus, etc.) * Experience developing software for control of complex hardware systems (robotics). * Background in test-driven development and automated testing tools. * Contributions to open-source machine control or automation projects. * Knowledge of cloud-based machine monitoring, data analytics, or IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) technologies., * Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: * 2-4 years of experience developing software for heavy equipment systems (e.g., machine controls, industrial automation, or related technologies). * Program development C/C++: 1 year (Required) ## Description * Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining machine control software for various automation projects using Danfoss Plus+1. * Collaborate closely with hardware and systems engineering teams to integrate software with machine components and devices. * Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, following best practices and industry standards. * Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to deployment and maintenance. * Develop and execute unit, integration, and system-level tests to ensure software quality and reliability. * Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code to improve performance and resolve issues. * Create and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, diagrams, and user manuals. * As project workload dictates, offer occasional assistance to mechanical and electrical engineering team with tasks including but not limited to, hardware testing, prototype assembly, 3D and 2D design and modeling, and drafting of assembly drawings/instructions. Collaborate with the Quality Control team to identify and address software defects and ensure compliance with quality standards. * Contribute to code reviews and knowledge sharing within the software development team. * Contribute to 3D model reviews by offering considerations to mechanical and electrical engineering team that promote the success of software implementation. * Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in automation, machine control, and software engineering. * All other responsibilities as determined by Engineering Management
