This assistance is available in person and online. The individual hired for this position will manage computer technology in the library and provide direct student technical support, ensuring a professional and service-oriented approach. Responsibilities include technology research, coordination of technology projects, and organizing tasks, requiring independent judgment and discretion., Provide responsive problem-solving for common student technology questions and issues within the campus library and online, including but not limited to: * Administering laptop loaner program * Individualized training and instruction * Laptop management including reimaging and sanitization * Check-in/Check-out * Research and utilize new and emerging technology tools and techniques used for academic purposes * NetID/Password and Microsoft Authenticator * Printing, copying, scanning (HawkPrint) * Wireless access from student devices * Navigating MyHCC (WebAdvisor, Canvas, Hawkmail) * Navigating the HCC Website, including Student SharePoint Resources * Microsoft 365 - download and installation on student devices * Hotspots, webcams, and headsets * Online conferencing tools (Teams) * Etrieve (various online forms that students must initiate) * Referrals and recommendations for training (LinkedIn Learning) * Various technology and media equipment * Refer students to librarians, campus computer labs, tutoring centers, Help Desk, and other departments as appropriate.
