## About the Role

Do you have experience in SolidWorks?, This is not a production machining environment. The work is highly varied and would suit someone who enjoys problem solving, repair work and working from samples, sketches and engineering drawings., * Time-served engineer or equivalent machining experience

 * Strong experience using either XYZ Proturn lathes or XYZ Protrak milling machines
 * Previous experience within a jobbing shop or subcontract machining environment
 * Ability to manufacture from drawings, sketches and samples
 * Experience carrying out repair work and reverse engineering
 * Strong understanding of general engineering and machining practices
 * Ability to work independently and manage varied workloads

## Description

* Programming, setting and operating XYZ Proturn lathes or XYZ Protrak milling machines
 * Manufacturing one-off and small batch components
 * Producing components from drawings, sketches and customer samples
 * Repairing and refurbishing existing components
 * Reverse engineering worn or damaged parts
 * Working to tight tolerances and customer deadlines
 * Supporting urgent repair and breakdown requirements
 * Working on a wide variety of engineering projects and materials
