## About the Role

* 5+ years of experience in software testing, automation engineering, or software development
 * Strong experience building automation frameworks and testing solutions
 * Proficiency with Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, or similar technologies
 * Experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or comparable tools
 * Knowledge of CI/CD, API automation, service virtualization, and cloud platforms
 * Familiarity with AI-enabled testing, agents, and MCP servers is a plus
 * Airline industry experience required, with knowledge of airline operations systems

## Description

Kforce's client in Long Island City, NY is seeking a highly technical Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to drive automation strategy, build scalable testing frameworks, and support next-generation AI-driven quality engineering initiatives. This role will play a key part in establishing testing standards, improving software quality, and advancing automation capabilities across mission-critical airline operations systems.

What You'll Do:

 * Build and maintain reusable test automation frameworks and assets
 * Establish automation best practices and quality engineering standards
 * Support AI-driven testing initiatives, agents, and MCP server technologies
 * Develop API, integration, end-to-end, and mobile test automation solutions
 * Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
 * Troubleshoot complex automation and framework issues
 * Partner with cross-functional teams to improve software quality
