## About the Role

* Preferred candidates will have either a 4-year college degree in an IT-related field, or relevant work experience

## Description

The Opportunity: The Infrastructure (IT) Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of hardware, network infrastructure, servers, security systems, and communication technologies. This role helps ensure the stability, reliability, and efficiency of the company's IT systems to support daily business operations. The Infrastructure Engineer also identifies opportunities for system improvements and recommends solutions to enhance performance and reliability. This is an onsite opportunity at either our Sauk Rapids or Winsted location., * Install, test, document, and maintain local area network systems, resolving hardware and software issues

 * Responsible for network stability and uptime
 * Monitor infrastructure usage and plan for capacity upgrades, proactively identifying areas for improvement and modernization
 * Manage company firewall and other technologies supporting security
 * Prioritize activities and manage projects to ensure timely, on-scope, and on-budget delivery
 * Effective interaction with multiple levels of the organization in supporting assignments - SLT leadership, front office and indirect staff, production leads/supervisors and shop floor operators
 * Act as the highest level of technical escalation for complex infrastructure issues. Mentor junior team members informally through knowledge sharing and guidance
 * Evaluates hardware and software options for compatibility, performance, and business requirements to support organizational needs
 * Assist with external vendor interactions
 * Stay updated on advancements in technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
 * Maintain and manage communications solutions
