Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # Senior Safety Engineer - Data Center Construction - **Company:** Data Inc - **Location:** Lincoln, NE, United States - **Experience:** Expert - **Salary:** $89,500.0 - $129,200.0 - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** Data Centers, Microsoft Office - **Published:** September 17, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=ec5b45dbe5403362 ## About the Role * Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, or equivalent; OR * High school diploma with CHST Certification, OSHA 500, and a minimum of 10 years construction experience leading crews and planning work, to include at least six years as a dedicated construction safety professional responsible for managing project safety programs, conducting / reviewing hazard analyses and developing controls, conducting safety training, and planning work activities or equivalent experience in a relevant field * Minimum of four years of construction safety experience * Current valid driver's license * Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple project tasks * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant safety software programs * Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills * Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies effectively * Willingness to travel up to 100%, * MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 10 years construction experience leading crews and planning work, including six years as a dedicated construction safety professional training, and planning work activities or equivalent experience in a relevant field * Minimum of five years of construction safety experience * The base pay range for this role is $95,700 MIN - $129,200 MAX., Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.). We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. ## Description Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Safety Engineer that will be responsible for implementing Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety program across multiple project sites and ensuring a safe work environment for team members, subcontractors, and visitors to the construction work site. This position offers opportunities at both levels 1 and 2, allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications. Compensation for this role is determined based on factors such as experience and location. RESPONSIBILITIES * Implement and administer safety programs at worksites, including site-specific safety activities and training programs * Document and track safety violations, conduct safety audits, and analyze loss control data * Lead OSHA reporting, monitor subcontractor activities, and review safety submittals * Record, monitor, and analyze safety, injury, and hazard statistics * Provide safety-related information, evaluate industrial hygiene concerns, and maintain knowledge of safety standards * Serve as a resource for safety issues, attend safety meetings, and assist with major incident analysis * Work with client safety personnel, union representatives, and insurance risk engineers * Ensure maintenance and inspection of safety equipment and build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels, As a top builder, developer, and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), our expertise spans markets like sports, renewable energy, data centers, healthcare, and more.
