Personal Profile * Driven and focussed to deliver. * Pragmatic, organised and able to manage competing priorities. * Strong communicator and effective relationship builder and manager. * Comfortable working independently and taking ownership from concept through to delivery. * Collaborative approach with the ability to work across project, operational and engineering teams. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Willingness to develop and adapt as ETCS moves from project delivery into operational railway use. ## Description GB Railfreight are seeking a skilled and self-motivated ETCS Software and Data Interrogation Project Engineer to join the ERTMS team. This role will support the next phase of ETCS delivery by developing, managing and maintaining the operational tools, systems and reporting needed for GBRf to run an ETCS railway safely and effectively. This is not an onboard software engineering role. The role will focus on practical business tools, data interrogation and operational support, working closely with the ERTMS team, Control, Operations, Fleet, Engineering and external stakeholders to ensure ETCS can be integrated into day to day railway operations. As ETCS fitment increases, GBRf will operate a mixed fleet of ETCS fitted and non-fitted locomotives alongside drivers who are ETCS trained and non-trained. This role will help ensure the right locomotive and competent driver are allocated to the right service, while also supporting fault investigation, trend analysis and DRACAS reporting.
