## About the Role

* 6+ years of experience in software/data engineering with strong Apache Kafka experience.
 * Hands-on experience with Confluent Platform and/or Confluent Cloud.
 * Strong knowledge of:

 * Kafka Brokers
 * Topics and Partitions
 * Replication
 * Consumer Groups
 * Offset Management
 * Producer/Consumer APIs

Strong experience with Kafka Connect and connectors.

Experience with Schema Registry.

Experience with Avro, JSON, and/or Protobuf.

Hands-on experience with Kafka Streams and/or ksqlDB.

Strong programming experience in Java, Python, or Scala.

Experience with REST APIs and enterprise application integration.

Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.

Knowledge of CDC/Debezium is highly desirable.

Experience with Kafka security including SSL/TLS, SASL, and ACLs.

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Strong Linux/Unix troubleshooting skills.

Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or equivalent.
