Active SC Clearance is essential., * Extensive experience working as a Lead Technical Architect within enterprise-scale AWS cloud environments. * Strong expertise in AWS Control Tower, landing zone architecture, and AWS organisational design, including Organisational Units (OUs) and governance structures. * Proven track record of designing and delivering AWS Identity Centre integrations with Entra ID to support secure and efficient identity management. * Comprehensive understanding of UK Government cloud security requirements, compliance standards, and governance frameworks. * Experience establishing, documenting, and promoting architectural principles, standards, and best practices across multiple teams. * Good knowledge of FinOps disciplines, cloud financial governance, and cost optimisation strategies. * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and at senior levels. * Demonstrated ability to assess, justify, and document architectural decisions, balancing considerations such as security, cost, operational efficiency, and user needs. The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential: · Previous experience working within Central Government or GDS-aligned programmes. · Familiarity with SFIA frameworks at level 5 or 6. · Experience working alongside Site Reliability Engineering teams on shared platform delivery. · AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Professional or Security Specialty. ## Description They are looking for an experienced Lead Technical Architect to join an established Cloud Platform team, working closely with a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to provide technical leadership and architectural direction. The team is driving the development of a robust AWS platform, with key initiatives including AWS Control Tower, landing zone architecture, account vending, FinOps, and the integration of AWS Identity Centre with Entra ID.
