* Formal training or certification on Data Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
 * Working knowledge of relational databases (RDBMS) and SQL operations
 * Working knowledge of JES2 and JCL, including RACF/ACF2 Security and CA7/ZEKE
 * Experience with performance analysis to optimize SQL workloads
 * Knowledge of SYSPlex Mainframe configuration including Data Sharing
 * Knowledge of the data lifecycle and data management functions
 * Working knowledge of Mainframe data system components
 * Strong understanding of data modeling fundamentals (eg, primary and foreign keys, constraints, indexing, etc.)
 * Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, with a passion to build an innovative culture
 * Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 * Understanding of general Mainframe Utilities, Database Utilities and Stored Procedures
 * Familiar with Mainframe environment and the use of TSO/ISPF
 * Understanding of Distributed and Static SQL workloads
 * Understanding of plex Mainframe configuration including Data Sharing & Stand-In
 * Familiar with IDAA (Data Analytics Accelerators)

## Description

As a Lead Data Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank - Production Management team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for maintaining critical data pipelines and architectures across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives., * Maintains and supports Db2 database applications

 * Experienced with Mainframe environment and use of TSO/ISPF/JCL
 * Develop rapport with application development teams for collaboration
 * Expertise with troubleshooting/diagnosing Mainframe DB2 related issues
 * Maintains review of controls to ensure sufficient protection of enterprise data
 * Implements database back-up, recovery, and archiving strategy
 * DDL Deployment, environment data refreshes, regular health checks
 * Maintains highest levels of stability, integrity, reliability, and availability
 * Experience with SQL and databases utilities including connectivity
 * Adds to team culture of team work, collaboration, and partnership
