Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # Network Engineer II - **Company:** Leidos, Inc. - **Location:** United States - **Salary:** $59,150.0 - $106,925.0 - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** Border Gateway Protocol, Cisco IOS, Communications Protocols, Cyber Security, System Configuration, IP Addressing, Internet Protocol, Internet Protocol Security (IP SEC), IPv6, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Multi-protocol Systems, Routing, Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Software Engineering, Virtual Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, Firewalls (Computer Science), Juniper, Enterprise Integration, Ddos, Splunk, Cisco, Vulnerability Analysis - **Published:** September 10, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.thejobnetwork.com/job/40a96ef9-e712-408e-886e-0512638a717f/network-engineer-ii ## About the Role * Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+ CE or equivalent to meet requirement. \n * Experience analyzing VLAN, routing, IP addressing and sub-netting. \n * Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, F5 appliances, and Splunk systems \n * Experience troubleshooting and configuring IP networks using at least one of the following routing methods: BGP, ISIS or OSPF, Static routing. \n * Experience with either service provider or enterprise IP networks using an interface on Cisco (ESR and ASR) and/or Juniper routers. \n * Experience with ports and protocols. \n * Currently possess an active DoD Secret security clearance., * Equally proficient in Juniper and Cisco configuration, troubleshooting, and design. \n * Experience with Cisco IOS XR, JUNOS, and Cisco IOS codes. \n * Pearl or other language scripting capable of running backup confits and other scripting to pull information from Cisco/Juniper routers \n * IPSEC configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience. \n * MPLS configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience. \n * IPV6 configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience. \n * Security certification and/or knowledge of DDoS and other attack vectors experienced in today' networks. \n * Crypto configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience. \n * Layer 2/3 VPN and Firewall knowledge and experience. \n * Physical cable plant and wiring experience. \n * Certifications with major network system vendors such as Cisco are a strong plus. \n * Excellent project, technical, interpersonal, presentation and problem management skills. \n * Extensive network integration experience for a variety of network protocol standards. \n * Ability to communicate orally, and in writing, detailed technical information on troubleshooting and implementation efforts. \n * Familiarization of DOD regulations and directives., Requires BS degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
