A master's degree is a plus. * 0-3 years of experience with a focus on the design of stormwater improvements. * Exposure to hydrologic and hydraulic computer programs, including HEC-RAS, SRH2D/SMS, CUHP, SWMM, and culvert/open channel design tools, as well as utilization of MHFD criteria, is desired. * Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred, and experience with MicroStation/ORD is a plus. * Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively convey technical information and collaborate within a team. * Detail-oriented and self-motivated professional with exceptional organizational skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to navigate formulas, equations, and complex spreadsheets. Required License or Certification: * Engineer Intern (EI) certification in Colorado or another state preferred. ## Description * Develop innovative stormwater improvement designs, including urban stream restoration, culverts, storm drains, detention facilities, water quality features, and erosion and sediment control planning. * Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, geomorphic evaluations, floodplain studies, and scour analyses to ensure robust project outcomes. * Assist in obtaining environmental permits and compliance with regulatory requirements. * Collaborate with colleagues to ensure accurate implementation of designs. * Prepare construction drawings using Civil 3D, create construction quantities and technical reports, and guide the work of CAD technicians. * Conduct construction field observation and provide construction support. * Other duties as assigned.
