In this role, you will design and implement methodologies, tools, and processes for safety-critical software that will revolutionize transportation in the 21st century. Borrowing principles from avionics, automotive, and other safety-critical industries, you will work with software engineers throughout the Zoox software org, ranging from state-of-the-art AI Autonomy software, all the way to highly-critical RTOS and middleware components. You will develop and maintain tools that help cross-functional teams build software adhering to a High Assurance Process, working closely with CI tools and infrastructure to meet the team's business goals. Partnering with team leads, you will define delivery milestones, automate necessary tooling, and report on relevant business metrics - while contributing to code reviews and incident postmortems to ensure the long-term stability and reliability of the software system. In this role, you will: * Be the go-to owner for the entire SSE pipeline ecosystem - from ClangTidy, ASAN/TSAN/Harden, and FBInfer - keeping every pipeline running smoothly across weekly, nightly, and CI so the rest of the org can trust the results. * Take pipelines from prototypes to fully deployed, CI-enforced systems across branches, shaping how "production-grade" looks for stability tooling at Zoox. * Turn raw issue data into dashboards and KPIs that tell a story - giving leadership and engineering teams a clear, real-time pulse on pipeline health and software quality trends. * Play detective when things break - root-causing gnarly cross-platform and determinism, building the instrumentation and tooling to crack them. * Help shape what's next for the pipeline suite - pitching in on new checker rollouts, testing strategy, and define how SSE scales its infrastructure ## Related Videos - [Empowering Thousands of Developers: Our Journey to an Internal Developer Platform](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1519-empowering-thousands-of-developers-our-journey-to-an-internal-developer-platform) - [Fully Orchestrating Databricks from Airflow](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/336-fully-orchestrating-databricks-from-airflow) - [Watch Tests Go Brrrr! : Getting Started with Cypress in ReactJS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/282-watch-tests-go-brrrr-getting-started-with-cypress-in-reactjs) - [From Messy Queries to Scalable Systems - How Data Engineering actually works](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100203-from-messy-queries-to-scalable-systems-how-data-engineering-actually-works) - [Remote Driving on Plant Grounds with State-of-the-Art Cloud Technologies](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/251-remote-driving-on-plant-grounds-with-state-of-the-art-cloud-technologies) - [Software Engineering Social Connection: Yubo’s lean approach to scaling an 80M-user infrastructure](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1583-software-engineering-social-connection-yubo-s-lean-approach-to-scaling-an-80m-user-infrastructure) ## Related Articles - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Why Upskilling And Reskilling is Important For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/428-why-upskilling-and-reskilling-is-important-for-developers) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline)
