Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # Sr Fiber Deploy TIPM, Global Connectivity Infrastructure Development - **Company:** Amazon.com, Inc. - **Location:** Atlanta, GA, United States - **Experience:** Expert - **Salary:** $148,700.0 - $201,200.0 - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** Amazon Web Services, Data Analysis, Data Centers, Data Center Infrastructure Management (CIM), Network Architecture, Power BI, Tableau (Software) - **Published:** September 22, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=deec79899d6b4fb0 ## About the Role * 5+ years of program management or technical project management experience * 5+ years of data center or network capacity planning, data center or network infrastructure program/project management, or related technical experience, * PMP certificate, or Bachelor's degree in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field * Experience working with global cross-functional teams * Experience in vendor management * Strong understanding of fiber optic infrastructure design and construction * Demonstrated ability to develop and track technical program KPIs * Experience creating and maintaining performance dashboards using PowerbI, Tableau, or QuickSight ## Description * Own end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of fiber construction programs across multiple regions and campuses, from approved plan through in-service handover * Manage construction and carrier vendors to schedule and quality: track milestones, measure performance against KPIs, and drive corrective action when standards are not met * Run quality control across the build: oversee conduit and vault inspection, validate designs in the field (pre and post construction), enforce fiber and OSP standards, and review splice, fiber acceptance test results (OTDR, PMD/CD), and as-built accuracy before handoff to internal customers * Deliver regular status reporting to senior leadership through standardized mechanisms, and manage risk, escalations, and competing priorities across many concurrent builds * Interface with key internal stakeholders such as Networking, Data Center Engineering, Technical Business Developers, Data Center Management, Security, and Backbone to capture requirements and drive vendors to meet them * Anticipate bottlenecks across the portfolio, manage risk and escalations, and balance business needs against technical constraints * Coordinate site access and approvals in security-regulated environments, and travel to field sites up to 40% of the time for project-based inspections * Drive process improvements through data analysis and stakeholder feedback A day in the life This role oversees large scale deployments of fiber infrastructure. This includes travel to the field, generation of weekly reports, and updating standards and specifications for a global deployment team. This position requires onsite visits to physical locations and is not a remote job. Physical inspections and learning the technical standards for outside and inside fiber plant is required, with a strong emphasis on program management and internal stakeholder communications. About the team The GCID Fiber Deployment team overseas the installation and quality of the AWS clouds' owned/leased conduit and fiber cable for terrestrial networks.
