## About the Role

* 5 or more years experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting of embedded systems
 * Programming experience in C, C++ and Python
 * Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS), Linux and building concurrent systems
 * Strong documentation, writing, and communications skills, * Experience in the application of cryptographic security controls for embedded systems (ex - enabling secure boot)
 * Experience with ISO/SAE 21434 (Road Vehicle Cybersecurity Engineering)
 * Experience in the development of embedded systems for vehicles
 * Experience in the development of IoT devices
 * PKI experience, including certificate lifecycle management and key protection, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field

## Description

As a Senior Embedded Security Engineer for John Deere World Headquarters located in Johnston, IA, you will:

 * Design, develop, and validate security controls for resource-constrained embedded devices, using cryptographic technologies such as HSMs and trusted execution environments
 * Define and review security architectures for embedded systems, influencing the design of new features (embedded, cloud and mobile) to ensure that our security needs can be met
 * Support penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security validation activities to identify weaknesses and improve product resilience
 * Support our teams developing the next generation of autonomous systems by designing and developing new security controls for those systems, The terms of the applicable benefit plans, and all company actions administering or interpreting these plans, continue to control. Deere & Company reserves the right to suspend, amend, modify, or terminate the Plan(s) in any manner at any time, including the right to modify or eliminate any cost-sharing between the company and participants. Changes, which can be made at any time, are made by action of the company's board of directors, or to the extent authorized by resolution of its board of directors, or by the Deere & Company Compensation Committee.
