If you're not already full-stack, you're aiming to get there. * You are product-oriented: you make technical decisions with the final user in mind, and you care about solving the right problems, not just building things right. * You are pragmatic with technology: you understand that tech is a means to solve product problems, never the end goal. * You use AI and other modern tools responsibly to support and improve your work, never as a substitute for the understanding, judgment, or ownership of your output. * You are an avid learner who turns curiosity into action. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving real user problems, works with initiative, and is motivated by learning and growing in a highly collaborative environment. In this role, you'll contribute across the stack, partnering closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to understand problems, shape solutions, build features, and improve the product with user impact always in mind. You'll bring your own perspective, question assumptions, and take ownership from problem understanding through implementation, helping drive better technical and product decisions along the way. You'll also continuously learn with the aim of taking on problems of increasing complexity over time, including the possibility of leading projects with technical complexity, product complexity, or both. Technically speaking, we use React and Redux for our frontend and Node and Express applying DDD and hexagonal architecture in the backend. We use MongoDB for our database and are fully hosted on AWS which we also use to store, encode and stream our own pool of videos. Our Engineering team also has access to Claude Code as part of a modern development environment that supports learning, experimentation, and day-to-day work. We work with testing, trunk based development, CI/CD, and we follow engineering best practices without compromising on code quality or reliability., * Work closely with Product and Engineering to understand user needs, explore solutions, and contribute to product and technical discussions with your own perspective. * Take ownership of the problems you work on by understanding why they matter to users, doing your own research, proposing solutions, and driving implementation with support from teammates when needed. * Collaborate closely with cross-functional teammates to keep projects moving with efficiency and focus, while also delivering the best possible outcome on time. * Develop pixel perfect designs in partnership with the Design team. * Build simple, clean, testable, and reliable code across the stack. * Continuously learn how different parts of Edpuzzle's software work, why they were built that way, where they can be improved, and how to use the tools available to you to keep growing. * Make effective use of the tools available to you, including AI where appropriate, to learn faster, work more effectively, and move problems forward, while maintaining strong judgment and high standards. * Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software. * Write technical documentation that helps others understand decisions, systems, and implementation details. * Contribute wherever needed to help the team deliver meaningful outcomes. ## Related Videos - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [40 Minutes to Build a Serverless COVID-19 REST and GraphQL APIs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/208-40-minutes-to-build-a-serverless-covid-19-rest-and-graphql-apis) - [Stop using Node.js like in 2020!
