The individual will collaborate with internal teams, Korea HQ teams, external customer(s), and Fab. seamlessly from NTI/NPI to mass production. This reliability engineer will drive all phases of reliability engineering for advanced CMOS technology nodes with manager's help. Role and Responsibilities Here's What You'll Be Responsible For: * Provide technical leadership to direct a team for reliability improvement activities. * Identify, plan, and execute reliability evaluations for NTI/NPI, technology qualification, process changes and abnormal events. Identify concerning items for product reliability and drive improvement actions with both local and overseas operations. * Manage solutions to integration problems working across several departments (Fab, PIE, Device, Product Test, etc) to improve reliability. * Design, execute, and analyze designed experiments to improve semiconductor fabrication processes. * Utilize lessons learned to improve reliability margin; define new process integration for new technology nodes. * Utilize statistical tools and reliability models to extract lifetime from time to fail data. * Represent Samsung technology leadership by authoring papers for symposiums & journals and leadership roles at external conferences. * Navigate both the industrial and academic landscape in order to be a knowledge center of device integration and technology development for reliability. * Plus for strong understanding of Semiconductor Device Physics or Reliability Degradation Mechanisms. * Example of Reliability Degradation Mechanisms: TDDB, HCI, BTI, EM, SM, TC.
