## About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong programmer who enjoys challenging work, tight tolerances, advanced machining, and direct shop-floor involvement., * 7+ years of CNC machining/programming experience, including strong 5-axis milling experience.

 * Proficiency with Mastercam or a similar software
 * Strong understanding of G-code, GD&T, tooling, workholding, feeds/speeds, and machining fundamentals.
 * Ability to independently program complex precision components and support programs on the shop floor.
 * Aerospace, defense, medical, or other high-precision manufacturing experience preferred., You should be proficient in:
 * CNC Programming
 * Aerospace Manufacturing

Machines & technologies you'll use:

 * CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC)
 * CAM Software (Mastercam)
 * CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC)
 * CAD/CAM

## Description

* Create, prove out, and optimize CNC programs for complex 5-axis milling applications.
 * Develop machining strategies from CAD models, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.
 * Select tooling, workholding, speeds, feeds, and cutting strategies for quality and efficiency.
 * Simulate and verify programs for accuracy, collision avoidance, and efficient toolpaths.
 * Support machinists and setup personnel during prove-outs, first articles, and troubleshooting.
 * Make program adjustments to improve cycle time, tool life, setup efficiency, and part quality.
 * Maintain setup sheets, tooling information, program revisions, and related documentation.
 * Work closely with engineering and quality to resolve machining and dimensional issues.
