Strong fundamentals in another modern programming language will also be considered. * Foundational knowledge of system design, database design, cloud infrastructure, and the tradeoffs involved in building reliable services. * Experience writing SQL and working with structured data, relational databases, data models, or data pipelines. * An understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, data exchange formats, and service-to-service integrations. * Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and at least one major cloud platform. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, along with a willingness to seek guidance and take increasing ownership. ## Description This is a hands-on role with opportunities across backend services, data pipelines, cloud automation, and full-stack internal products. You will turn real business and engineering problems into practical tools used by teams across Rivian. The role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys learning quickly, writing maintainable software, understanding how technology decisions affect cost and value, and seeing their work create measurable business impact.
