* Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or equivalent experience
 * 8 years of application systems development experience
 * 5 years architectural and design experience, * Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline
 * 5 years of technical or team leadership experience
 * 2+ years' experience in Agile methodology
 * 2+ years' experience in DevOps deployment processes
 * 1+ years' Palantir development/enablement experience
 * Airline industry experience

 * Background in Enterprise/Solutions Architecture or software engineering
 * Command of architecture, design patterns and business processes
 * Mastery of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
 * Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices
 * Expertise in working in in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
 * Experienced in technology transformations and migration to one or more Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP or OCI
 * Strong technical leader able to drive to outcomes and mentor delivery teams
 * Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) tools and platforms

## Description

* The Senior Principal Architect, IOC Technology is responsible for providing the technical direction and leadership in the architecture, design, development and deployment of solutions used primarily at the Integrated Operations Center (IOC), the nerve center of American's operation. You will leverage your technical knowledge, expertise and experience to support the IOC in keeping the operations running smoothly and making the best possible decisions to get our customers to their destinations as close to schedule as possible.
