## About the Role

* Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar technical support role
 * Strong network configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting skills (switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs)
 * Demonstrated experience managing user accounts and permissions in enterprise systems or directories
 * Solid understanding of access control, security, and performance monitoring
 * Structured, methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving system errors and incidents
 * Experience using ticketing/issue-tracking tools
 * Strong customer service orientation and clear, professional communication skills
 * Ability to work independently and meet response/resolution targets in a contract environment, * Experience with Active Directory and group policy management
 * Familiarity with ITIL-based service management practices
 * Exposure to scripting/automation for routine administrative tasks
 * Experience supporting users in a distributed or multi-site environment
 * Knowledge of basic security best practices

Education & Certifications

 * Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
 * CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft/other vendor certifications preferred
 * Ongoing professional development in systems/network administration a plus

## Description

Step into a hands-on contract role where your systems expertise keeps a busy operation running smoothly. We're looking for a go-to specialist for maintaining stable, secure, and efficient systems - someone who keeps users productive and resolves issues quickly and accurately.

This role owns day-to-day administration, configuration, and support of core systems and networks. You'll manage user access, maintain system integrity, and act as the central point of contact for resolving technical issues. Your work directly supports business continuity and user satisfaction., * Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network components (switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs) to maintain stable, secure connectivity

 * Coordinate creation, modification, and deactivation of user accounts, ensuring appropriate access and permissions
 * Provide timely user assistance for system access, functionality questions, and basic troubleshooting
 * Track, prioritize, and respond to system feedback, help requests, bug reports, and idea submissions
 * Investigate and correct system errors, working with internal teams or vendors as needed to resolve root causes
 * Maintain accurate system and user documentation, including configuration changes and access records
 * Monitor system performance and availability, escalating issues and implementing corrective actions
 * Support routine maintenance (updates, patches, configuration changes) with minimal disruption
