Preferred * Certification: CompTIA Security+ (or actively pursuing); Network+ or CySA+ a plus. * Experience: Prior help desk, desktop support, or systems administration exposure. * Tools: Familiarity with SIEM, endpoint protection, MFA/identity, or vulnerability scanning tools. ## Description The IT Security Analyst (Entry-Level) helps protect the organization's networks, systems, and data by monitoring for threats, responding to security incidents, and supporting vulnerability and compliance efforts. This is a hands-on, entry-level role designed for someone early in their security career who will grow into broader security responsibilities under the guidance of senior IT and security staff., Monitor & Protect Systems * Monitor networks, servers, endpoints, and logs for suspicious or anomalous activity. * Escalate and assist in resolving security issues as they are identified. * Help maintain and tune security tooling (SIEM, endpoint protection, email security). Incident Response * Respond to security alerts and incidents; assist with containment and remediation. * Perform basic root-cause analysis to help prevent recurrence. * Document incidents and maintain accurate response records. Vulnerability Management * Run vulnerability scans and help coordinate remediation efforts. * Track weak points and follow up with system owners on patching. * Assist in coordinating periodic penetration tests.
