DV Security Clearance is required. Must have lived in UK for 10+ years to obtain clearance. What you'll be doing Owns and leads the secure platforms engineering organisation, ensuring the consistent delivery of resilient, secure, and high-quality platform services across cloud environments, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), and container-based services, meeting external and internal customer needs on time and budget, while embedding measurability, reliability, and security across the platform portfolio. Sets the technical direction for secure platform architecture and service quality, defining engineering standards and lifecycle management strategies across multi-cloud services (public/private), VCF estates, and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes) for business-critical systems. Acts as a subject matter expert in secure hybrid platform design and delivery, leading the assessment of platform performance, resilience, scalability, and compliance across cloud-native and virtualised environments, ensuring adherence to defined service objectives and industry standards. Establishes and enforces repeatable, scalable engineering processes across infrastructure-as-code, cloud platform services, VCF deployments, and container pipelines, driving consistency, security, and operational excellence. Owns the identification and mitigation of platform and security risks across distributed cloud architectures, virtualised platforms, and container ecosystems, leveraging deep expertise in solution architecture and cyber security to ensure robust governance and assurance.
