Additional: * UK Driving licence * May require travel to customer locations * 2-3 days on site - remainder, office and/or home based Eligibility: Sponsorship is not offered for this role and therefore you must have the right to work in the UK ## Description We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the development and integration of an energy storage program utilizing electric motors, power inverters, and battery systems. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for defining system requirements, ensuring subsystem integration, managing technical risks, and supporting the full system lifecycle from concept through deployment and operation., Define and manage system-level requirements for energy storage systems. Develop system architectures integrating batteries, inverters, motors, controls, and thermal management. Lead system integration activities across electrical, mechanical, software, and controls domains. Perform system trade studies, performance analysis, and failure mode analysis (FMEA/FMECA). Ensure compatibility and interface definition between batteries, power electronics, and motors Support system validation, verification, and testing (V&V). Monitor system efficiency, safety, reliability, and performance metrics. Collaborate with suppliers and internal engineering teams on component selection and qualification. Support compliance with applicable standards and regulations (UL, IEC, IEEE, ISO, NFPA, etc.) Develop and maintain system documentation, block diagrams, and interface control documents (ICDs).
