Skills and Experience: * Understanding of different network topologies (e.g., LAN, WAN, SAN) and networking protocols (e.g., routing, VPN, VOIP, Spanning Tree). * Experience in configuring and maintaining network devices (e.g., routers, firewalls, switches). * Proven experience in building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. * Strong analytical skills and the ability to think clearly using logic and reasoning. * Experience in working in a multidisciplinary team to solve problems., Level C requires the highest level of competence and applicants would need to fully meet and demonstrate all aspects of the job profile, including qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. ## Description We are looking for a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our ICT team. The successful candidate will work with various departments and third parties to maintain and improve our network services. This role involves defining user needs, business objectives, and ensuring compliance with ICT security policies and procedures., * Maintain network services for complex and interdependent services across all channels. * Work with departments and third parties to maintain effective business solutions, including improvements in information systems, security practices, and equipment. * Proactively and reactively maintain networks, analyse incidents, and report findings to prevent recurrence. * Maintain network documentation and ensure compliance with ICT Network & Cyber Security policies. * Assist with network-related projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion. * Liaise with stakeholders to promote the vision and values of the Council., We are seeking an ICT Network Engineer to join the team at level A. This is the entry point of the role, so you will need to be able to demonstrate the relevant knowledge, experience and skills to get you started, but you will be supported to develop in your role through induction, probation and a supportive Performance Appraisal and Career Conversation. All elements of level A listed within the person specification are essential.
