Applications are welcome from engineers with a minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial machine automation., * Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Electronic engineering * Ability to communicate ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing * Understanding of customer requirements including typical manufacturing processes * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment * Good analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to produce technical documentation to a professional standard * A valid passport ensuring unrestricted travel to and from the UK * A valid UK driving licence Desirable additional requirements Training will be given in areas which are new to the applicant. * Experience using stand-alone automation systems; e.g. PLC or Motion Controller. * Knowledge of a programming language; for example C, BASIC, Python. * Programming with the standard IEC61131-3 languages. * Application and configuration of Industrial Robots. * Servo and/or Stepper drives and motors. * Using real-time deterministic networks, e.g. EtherCAT, Sercos, CanOpen, Profinet RT. * Programming and configuration of touch-screen HMIs * Practical experience of electrical interfacing between devices in an automation system. We are looking for team players who can communicate effectively in English, are legally entitled to live and work in the UK and can be based at our HQ in Gloucestershire.
