## About the Role

* Strong experience engineering and operating Microsoft Azure infrastructure at scale.
 * Strong knowledge of Azure Landing Zones, networking and cloud infrastructure.
 * Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform or Bicep, alongside PowerShell and automation.
 * Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365, including PIM and Conditional Access.
 * Experience with backup, disaster recovery and infrastructure resilience.
 * Good understanding of cloud security and secure-by-design principles.
 * Experience working with third-party suppliers or managed-service providers.
 * Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder-management skills.

## Description

* Act as a senior engineering lead across the Microsoft Azure platform, helping define technical standards and engineering best practice.
 * Design and improve Azure infrastructure, including Landing Zones, networking, segmentation, firewalling and connectivity.
 * Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code and automation, using technologies such as Terraform, Bicep and PowerShell.
 * Design and test backup, disaster recovery and platform resilience across critical infrastructure.
 * Support and improve Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365, including PIM, Conditional Access and B2B collaboration.
 * Lead infrastructure security, vulnerability and patch management, working with the security team to implement secure-by-design standards.
 * Work with managed-service providers, architecture and security teams to ensure infrastructure is delivered to the required technical standards.
 * Act as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure issues and provide technical guidance to other engineers.
