 * Strong customer service and communication skills.
 * Experience working within a busy support environment.
 * Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently.
 * Experience maintaining accurate support records and documentation., * Relevant IT Support or Technical Support experience.
 * Good understanding of Microsoft technologies.
 * Right to Work in the UK., * ITIL knowledge or certification.
 * Experience supporting cloud-based technologies.
 * Experience working within Local Government or Public Sector environments.

## Description

As an IT Support Officer, you will provide first-line technical support and service desk assistance to users across Rochford District Council. Working within the Digital, Data & Technology team, you will help deliver high-quality IT services, support Microsoft-based technologies, troubleshoot technical issues, and assist with hardware deployment and maintenance., * Provide first-line IT support to end users.

 * Respond to service desk incidents and requests.
 * Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and system issues.
 * Deliver excellent customer service and technical support.
 * Support Microsoft technologies and cloud-based services.
 * Configure, deploy, and decommission IT equipment.
 * Maintain and update IT assets and records.
 * Escalate complex technical issues when required.
 * Assist with user account administration and system access.
 * Support Digital, Data & Technology service delivery.
 * Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, and peripheral issues.
 * Assist with software installations and updates.
 * Work collaboratively with Technical Analysts and the wider IT team.
 * Maintain accurate service desk records and documentation.
