You should have: * Significant commercial experience in robotics control software. * Strong hands-on C experience. * Strong Python skills. * Experience with real-time control systems. * Experience with ROS2, real-time Linux and/or an RTOS. * Experience taking algorithms from research/prototype into production. * Experience with robotics simulation and HIL testing. * Experience validating software on physical robots. * Experience contributing to software architecture. * Understanding of automated testing, CI/CD and software releases. * Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring. ## Description We are looking for a Lead Control Software Engineer to develop the real-time software responsible for controlling the movement and behaviour of these robotic systems. This is a highly hands-on role combining robotics control, software development and technical leadership. Key Skills * C * Python * Robotics control systems * Real-time control * ROS2 * Real-time Linux and/or RTOS * Robotics simulation * HIL testing * Physical robot validation * Software architecture * Automated testing * CI/CD, As a Lead Control Software Engineer, you will: * Develop real-time control software for humanoid robots. * Develop and optimise production-quality C and Python. * Take control algorithms from research and prototype through to production. * Deploy and validate software on physical robotic systems. * Work with simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing. * Contribute to software architecture and technical decisions. * Develop automated testing and software release processes. * Work closely with robotics, mechanical, AI and systems engineers. * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers. * Help establish engineering standards as the robotic platform scales., This is an opportunity for a Lead Control Software Engineer to work on technically challenging problems within humanoid robotics.
