## About the Role

Je bent een hands-on data scientist met een sterk analytisch vermogen en een pragmatische instelling. Je weet business en technologie met elkaar te verbinden en voelt je thuis in een dynamische omgeving.

* Analytisch en oplossingsgericht
 * Nieuwsgierig en continu bezig met ontwikkelen
 * Communicatief vaardig en in staat complexe materie helder uit te leggen

* 3-6 jaar ervaring als Data Scientist of in een vergelijkbare rol
 * Ervaring met Python en data science libraries (zoals Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)
 * Ervaring met data-analyse, statistiek en machine learning technieken
 * Ervaring met data visualisatie tools (bijv. Power BI, Tableau)
 * Ervaring met werken met grote datasets en data platforms
 * Goede beheersing van de Nederlandse en Engelse taal

Must-have:

 * Aantoonbare ervaring binnen de aviation sector (airlines, luchthavens of luchtvaartketen)

* Ervaring met cloud platformen (Azure, AWS of GCP)
 * Kennis van MLOps of het deployen van modellen
 * Ervaring met real-time of streaming data
 * Ervaring met use cases zoals predictive maintenance, passagiersstromen of operationele optimalisatie

Wil jij data science en AI inzetten om complexe vraagstukken binnen de luchtvaartsector op te lossen? Binnen CGI Aviation werk je aan impactvolle projecten voor airlines, luchthavens en logistieke organisaties, waar data een sleutelrol speelt in veiligheid, efficiëntie en klantbeleving.

Als Data Scientist binnen CGI Aviation help je organisaties om data om te zetten in concrete inzichten en slimme oplossingen. Je werkt op het snijvlak van data, technologie en business en draagt bij aan datagedreven besluitvorming binnen mission-critical omgevingen.

Jouw rol in ons team
Als Data Scientist werk je aan diverse use cases binnen de luchtvaart, zoals operationele optimalisatie, voorspellende analyses en procesverbeteringen. Je werkt nauw samen met stakeholders, data engineers en IT-teams om waardevolle en schaalbare oplossingen te realiseren.

Je houdt je onder andere bezig met:

 * Analyseren van grote en complexe datasets om patronen en trends te identificeren
 * Uitvoeren van exploratory data analysis (EDA) en statistische analyses
 * Ontwikkelen van machine learning modellen (bijv. forecasting, classificatie, anomaly detection)
 * Vertalen van businessvraagstukken naar data science oplossingen
 * Visualiseren en presenteren van inzichten aan stakeholders
 * Bijdragen aan de ontwikkeling van herbruikbare modellen en data pipelines
