Principal Duties: * Provides strategic input regarding enhancements and new development that may affect the Train Control systems. * Works with NS resources to innovate, streamline and improve NS transportation, engineering, information technology and ATC applications and systems interfacing with Train Control systems. * Ensures accurate NS Train Control performance reporting to FRA on a regular basis * Exhibits a high level of knowledge of PTC, EM, signaling, CAD and NS transportation functions and interfaces * Maintains knowledge of system requirements, interfaces and hazards to shape industry and vendor-driven enhancements * Represents NS interests to industry-level Interoperable Train Control (ITC) teams and MxV research projects involving Train Control systems evolution * Team lead for the following processes: + PTC research and systems engineering, including design coordination and technology development + System availability & reliability + Systems management + Business continuity + PTC business intelligence, reports and dashboards + FRA performance reporting data * Cultivates collaborative relationships with inter-departmental teams, vendors, and Class I railroads to leverage shared knowledge * Inclusively manages a team and is responsible for their development, productivity and performance, * Predecessor Jobs: Analyst ATC System Design and Performance, Manager ATC System Engineering & Safety, * Future Jobs: Sr Manager ATC System Design and Performance, Manager ATC System Engineering & Safety, Manager ATC Operations Center, Manager ATC System Change & Config.
