## About the Role

* 10+ years of senior, hands-on IT infrastructure experience, ideally serving as a technical authority or senior escalation point within an organization.\\n
 * Strong experience with Azure cloud infrastructure, with demonstrated ownership of cloud infrastructure projects rather than Azure administration alone.\\n
 * Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, including Windows Autopilot, zero-touch provisioning, Win32 application packaging, compliance policies, Conditional Access, and LAPS.\\n
 * Strong Entra ID experience, including identity management, Conditional Access, and MFA.\\n
 * Demonstrated experience migrating or implementing an MFA solution, including planning, pilot groups, phased deployment, user enrollment, exceptions, and break-glass access.\\n
 * Experience with Microsoft 365 and Windows infrastructure.\\n
 * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.\\n
 * Experience with infrastructure automation using PowerShell and/or Microsoft Graph API is preferred.\\n
 * Working knowledge of networking, security, backup, and other core infrastructure technologies.\\n
 * Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to work directly with C-suite and senior leadership.\\n
 * Demonstrated experience mentoring or developing junior IT professionals.\\n
 * Financial services experience - particularly hedge funds, private equity, investment management, or a similar environment - is strongly preferred.\\n

## Description

Our client is seeking a senior, hands-on Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer to serve as the technical right hand to the Head of IT / CI&SO. This is the second-most senior technical position within a lean IT organization, with responsibility for supporting and improving the firm\'s Microsoft infrastructure, cloud environment, endpoint management, and identity platform., n

 * Serve as the senior technical escalation point within IT, owning complex infrastructure and technology issues through resolution.\\n
 * Design, implement, administer, and troubleshoot the firm\'s Microsoft and Azure environment.\\n
 * Manage and optimize Microsoft Intune, including Windows Autopilot, zero-touch provisioning, application deployment, compliance policies, endpoint configuration, and device security.\\n
 * Administer Entra ID, including Conditional Access, identity policies, and MFA.\\n
 * Lead technical initiatives to modernize and standardize the firm\'s identity and endpoint environment, including the migration from Duo to Entra-based MFA.\\n
 * Support and manage Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, networking, backup, and cloud security.\\n
 * Automate infrastructure and administrative tasks using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, or similar tools where appropriate.\\n
 * Maintain working knowledge of networking, security, AV, and other infrastructure technologies, handling routine issues independently and coordinating with specialist vendors when deeper expertise is required.\\n
 * Provide high-touch, white-glove technology support to executives and senior leadership.\\n
 * Mentor and develop junior IT team members, particularly in Microsoft endpoint and cloud technologies.\\n
 * Evaluate technical issues through a security-first lens and exercise independent judgment without unnecessarily escalating routine decisions.\\n
 * Participate in infrastructure projects and initiatives from planning and design through implementation and ongoing support.\\n
