This role will serve as the platform leader for core infrastructure environments, ensuring exceptional availability, security, performance, and long-term technology sustainability. Essential Responsibilities * Define and execute the strategic roadmap for HP NonStop (Tandem) and Stratus platforms. * Develop long-term hardware, software, resiliency, and modernization strategies aligned with business objectives. * Establish platform standards, engineering practices, governance processes, and operational controls. * Ensure continuous availability, performance, recoverability, and resiliency for all supported environments. * Lead production operations, incident management, problem management, and root-cause analysis activities. * Oversee infrastructure lifecycle programs, including hardware refreshes, operating system upgrades, capacity expansions, and technology currency initiatives. * Manage software maintenance, patching, vendor advisories, and security remediation activities. * Lead capacity forecasting, performance analytics, and utilization planning to support current and future business demand. * Present platform health metrics, risk assessments, capacity plans, and investment recommendations to senior leadership. * Ensure platform compliance with enterprise security standards, regulatory requirements, audit controls, and risk management frameworks. * Lead business continuity, disaster recovery, resiliency testing, and recovery validation exercises. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives through automation, operational efficiencies, and reliability engineering practices. * Manage strategic vendor relationships, technology investments, support agreements, and maintenance contracts. * Develop and manage platform budgets, including hardware, software, labor, and project expenditures. * Lead, mentor, and develop teams of engineers, systems programmers, and technical specialists. * Establish workforce development, succession planning, technical training, and knowledge transfer programs. * Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with infrastructure, networking, application development, cybersecurity, and operations teams. * Provide executive-level communication regarding platform performance, risks, incidents, and strategic initiatives. * Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.
