Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior AI Software Developer to support a company focused on modernizing and advancing national air traffic management systems through next-generation automation, cloud, and AI-enabled technologies. This position is on-site in Gaithersburg, MD or Egg Harbor Township, NJ. The Senior AI Software Developer will serve as a technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and modernizing mission-critical microservices-based software solutions within a large Agile/SAFe environment. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact the reliability and performance of systems supporting millions of air travelers across the United States while leveraging modern AI-assisted development practices.
Responsibilities for the Senior AI Software Developer include:

 * Lead Agile sprint planning, technical execution, and team collaboration efforts to ensure successful delivery of software solutions.
 * Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices-based applications using modern software engineering best practices.
 * Collaborate with systems engineering, product owners, DevSecOps, QA, and architecture teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
 * Develop and integrate APIs, databases, messaging systems, and event-driven services within distributed environments.
 * Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding efficiency, software quality, debugging, testing, and system reliability.
