## Description

We are seeking an entry-level IT Software Engineer 1 to support software development activities involving operating-system-level software, compilers, network distribution software, and potentially embedded systems software.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated team player who is willing and able to learn new technologies, understands software development processes, and can work effectively in a collaborative environment. The candidate should demonstrate accountability, follow-through, and the ability to participate in software code drops and related development activities. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test operating-system-level software.
Support development and maintenance of compilers and network distribution software.
Assist with defining operational specifications and software requirements.
Analyze software requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Support embedded systems software development as needed.
Participate in software development, testing, and code-drop activities.
Work with automation tools and development processes.
Collaborate effectively with software engineering and cross-functional teams.
Take ownership of assigned tasks and follow through to completion.
Learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and development methodologies.
